Hazy Rapids

New England Style IPA is a recent iteration of the IPA family of beers. The defining features include a full-blown HAZY appearance, derived from high protein grains such as wheat and oats. Coupled with a juicy, fruity aroma and taste, it is derived from a combination of new world hop oils. Reminiscent of tropical and stone fruit, with a delicate but intense blend of fruity yeast esters. NEIPAS are also typically full-bodied, and carbonated lower than your average beer, so that the flavours are not lost. Bitterness, while until now has been the hallmark of an IPA, the NEIPA has diverged a bit from this tradition. This gentler approach makes for a fare more quaffable ale.
