For over a decade, Alex Nichols has been brewing beer for the Ontario Craft Beer market. After completing his MSc in Brewing and Distilling Sciences from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland, Alex returned home in 2008 to brew beer all across Ontario. From the Ottawa River to Lake Huron, and everywhere in between, Alex has brewed beer for, and in one instance co-founded, several noteworthy breweries across southern Ontario.
Alex enjoys the outdoors, arts, taking things apart and not putting them back together, as well as spending time with his friends and family, and generally not taking life too seriously, except for his beer that is. Alex also enjoys having a good laugh over a beer, so come on down to Ganaraska Brewing Company, and ask Alex to show you around the facility, and make sure to say something that will make him chuckle.
